Confession from the cage - Gregie

awake
I find myself in darkness
not sure if it is daytime or night
i stans up and start wandering in the darkness, hitting the padded walls with every 3rd step
faded noises are heard in the distance mostly female voices, alot of laughter.
i sit down and prepares mentally of a few hours of wakeness/sleeping/something in between..

awake
hearing boot footsteps on top echoing in the tiny dark cell
A: "chattel! were you not paying attention?!" a strong female voice heard all over the small cage. The Lady who speaks to it must be standing just above the hole in which he resides.
chattel: "Yes Miss?!"
A: "Awwww chattel, there you are, i thought you weren't home"
*laughs*
B:"Was the animal not paying attention?"
Another Lady replied
A:"No he wasn't! this is the second time I called it"
B:"Oh dear, that lowly animal, chattel were you watching porn again?"
A:"Huh, no he wasn't! i've unplugged his computer, in fact I disconnected the entire electricity from the cell some time ago, he was having too much fun - and was often distracted"
B:"Oh bad beast!"
A:"Indeed he is, now with no electricity and no computer he can't keep track of time in there can he, isn't it exciting?"
as i was opening my time to answer i could hear the other Lady replying..
A:"Oh well, then he doesn't know anymore how long he has been there?"
B:"No, he doesn't, oh chattel, did you know your punishment is due to end tomorrow?"
A:"Oh wow indeed that's what the timer outside the cage says!"
Although everybody but me could see the timer, i could not. however could hear the timer ticking but it would not be possible to keep track on time by just counting the seconds. the ticks drove me mad especially in dark cold lonely times (nights?) which lasted forever, complete darkness and no sleep.
B:"Wow that's amazing! I don't remember how chattel looks like"
A:"Well beast, i'm sorry as much as I'd like to see you out after so long, you can't get out before you're fully ready to serve, I can't disregard your lack of attention this morning, you know it's for your own good, I'm sure you understand"
I could hear Lady messing with the timer for a shortwhile and then.."
A:"There you are, some extra time to make sure you fully learn your lesson"
B:"Oh wow, don't worry chattel, that's not much longer really, should we tell him how long?"
A:"Oh that might spoil the surprise for him, let's just say it won't be for very very long, in fact quite soon, relatively"
my jaw dropped.. the Ladies often enjoyed playing with my mind, however i could clearly hear the timer being reset..
A:"I think it's time for your shower now beast, this time it will be hmmm.. cold! get ready... set..."
the freezing cold water splashing from the celing hit me.. i could never anticipate if it was to be hot or cold and could never get used to it, no matter how many times I endured it..
moments later when the water shower was over I could hardly hear the ladies talking as they were walking away from the cage...
B:"Wow, in fact I'm quite curious to see chattel after all these years, but I guess we'll have to wait just a little bit longer"
A:"Yes, so do I, i've been telling my daughter stories about him ever since she turned 18, She's now almost 24 now, can you believe I was pregnant with her the night we shoved chattel in?"
